United Way

  

Chosen Children is a ministry of the Cameroon Baptist Convention (CBC). Chosen Children responds to the desperate plight of AIDS orphans in Cameroon. We have the privilege of partnering with CBC and  ministering to those devastated by HIV/AIDS.

• Aproximately every 14 seconds a child loses his/her parents through the impact of HIV/AIDS
• In Africa, more than 11 million children have been orphaned by AIDS.
• An estimated 210,000 children under the ages of 14 have lost one or both parents to HIV/AIDS in Cameroon.

These overwhelming statistics represent precious children who, without help, are likely to face poverty, disease, malnutrition, and an early death.

 

HOW CAN YOU HELP

 

·          SUPPORT. You can contribute by supporting a child on a monthly basis for only $20.00 via United Way (forms at the mission table or at the church office) It is important that the following information is typed in the agency name  field:

·          PRAY. Ask God to watch over and comfort these children and their families who have lost so much. Pray that He will bless our Cameroonian brothers and sisters who are active in the often heart-breaking work of ministering to AIDS patients and their families.
